We test both food and feedstuffs, as well as environmental and human samples for chemical contaminants including persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and contaminants of emerging concern (CECs).

Our specialist laboratory is at the cutting edge of method development and specialises in meeting non-routine testing requirements. We partner with our customers to develop and deliver bespoke analytical chemistry methods to answer their specific project questions.

Our capability includes sample analysis for exposure and risk assessment projects related to impact on plant, animal, ecosystem and human populations and ecosystem assessments and we have assisted in projects worldwide to determine the levels of contaminants arising from: 

• Legacy and current industrial and agricultural activities and processes
• Water, wastewater and sewage treatment processes
• Ecosystem impacts of modern human activity
• Environmental emergencies and long-term environmental remediation.
