The Sustainability Hub at Mystery Creek Fieldays offers a great opportunity for information sharing and support for visitors on their sustainability journey. AsureQuality’s Sustainability Assurance and Organics teams joined the action at the Sustainability Hub this year, making the most of the chance for interesting conversations and building connections.
The Sustainability Assurance team shared their expertise and experience in sustainable agri-finance, fossil fuel free farming, the freshwater farm plan certifier and auditor programme, as well as designing custom programmes for proving sustainability credentials. Simon Love, Head of Sustainability Assurance shared his thoughts on LinkedIn,(external link) where he noted that while the agricultural sector is confident in its own level of action on sustainability, the removal of regulatory requirements means that evidence of that action will need to come from elsewhere.
“The requirements and expectations of our overseas markets are increasing every day, and it is a great opportunity to make sure there is proof of sustainability in action,” says Simon.
Organic certification continues to gain interest, helping producers gain access to export markets and premium pricing. The Organics team showcased the benefits of organic certification with AsureQuality, highlighting the team’s expertise in providing end-to-end services across the supply chain, and advice throughout the organics conversion process.
We are grateful to organic producers, Springbank Honey and Healy Organics, who produce the Everkind brand, for donating AsureQuality organic certified products for our prize draw.
